Sylvia is a Chinese London-based director, producer and co-director of Skin Deep Magazine, using this Dear Diary entry to take us on an audiovisual exploration of 2020.
“During lockdown I would go on long walks with my close friend Sam. We would walk more than 20 miles a day, take a train out of London and walk for a whole day to the next train station connected to London Marylebone. These walks helped me to mentally and spiritually cope with the loneliness that was suffocating me. When isolation isn’t a choice, it paralyses us into a state of numbness. We sink into a rabbit hole of pure sadness, but these walks were so healing and opened a whole new perspective in terms of discovering my inner self.”
