Tihar - Dashti Jahfar

Tihar; a photographic print by Kurdish photographer Dashti Jahfar.

โ€œThis photograph was taken during the festival of Tihar (Diwali) during a celebration parade in a residential area outside of the central Thamel. Many people were out - the dogs and cows of the city are fed well and decorated with floral necklaces, children play with fireworks, homes are decorated with lights, people dance, gamble, eat and celebrate with family. I took this shot while the procession was passing, mostly cars beeping, lots of people watching as they all made their way through the tight streets.โ€ - Dashti Jahfar

Print Details:
- Digital c-type print on Fuji Matte paper
- White border for framing
- 304.8mm x 406.4mm (close to a3 size)
